American Express Centurion Lounge, London Heathrow T3: Excellent even at breakfast

First flight of our trip, from London Heathrow. And, for once, we will skip the lounge proposed by the airline. And for the better…

As a reminder, here is the itinerary followed:

Today’s itinerary

Ground course and check-in

Since the beginning of the school year, Air France and KLM have moved from terminal 2 to terminal 3and it is there that we check in for Cancun. The terminal was packed and it took us a good 15 minutes in the SkyPriority line to reach the check-in counter.

When it’s our turn, no worries since Mexico doesn’t ask for any COVID document, and our luggage leaves in the depths of LHR in a few seconds.

We will then use the Fast Track and pass the security there too in a few seconds.

Location

The lounge is coded “A” and is located near the Duty Free area. It is accessible through stairs or elevators. The area is not very pleasant,as are all the backstage areas of terminals 3 and 4, the oldest of the platform.

Lounge design

You could already discover the design in a previous report, before our flight to Budapestwith British Airways.

It hasn’t changed.

We are warmly welcomed and after checking our eligibility, we are invited to enter the lounge. A small gift is given to us.

Catering

The restaurant offer is plentiful and of excellent quality.

I would have a chachouka, with a fruit salad and a small brioche.

All this accompanied by an excellent mimosa… Because it’ s always time for champagne.

Bottom line

An excellent lounge with perfect service. We regret the lack of windows…
