Serafina Seaport Restaurant, Boston: Excellent menu, well executed

Just after the Boston Marathon, we decided to go for dinner in our neighborhood and chose this Italian restaurant, Serafina, which my wife knows well from dining there with her colleagues.

Here is a review of this successful culinary experience.

The concept

The concept is quite simple, it is a traditional Italian restaurant, without that American “touch” that I hate, limiting Italian food to meatballs on overcooked spaghetti.

The setting

The setting is not exceptional, just successful with an up-to-date decoration.

The menu

The menu is quite complete: the starters are numerous and qualitative, the pastas and pizzas rather original and the meat and fish dishes very expensive.

The meal and the dishes

For this visit, we ordered some soft drinks and some bread to wait (it will be good).

My wife ordered two starters: the meatballs and the burrata with its ripe tomato. Both were excellent.

My pizza was also excellent, and I took half home and finished it the next day.

The service

The service was attentive without being intrusive, just perfect!

The atmosphere

The atmosphere was quite calm when we went there, but that was due to the limited crowd on this bank holiday night.

Bottom line

An excellent experience that we will definitely repeat!
