Garuda Indonesia to serve Bali direct from London

At Travelguys we were quite a fan of Garuda Indonesia’s London-Jakarta flight, which offered relatively unbeatable business class fares and the possibility of upgrading to First class for a small fee.

It has always been a complicated route to fill for Garuda, which finally stopped operating this route in the fall before relaunching it recently.

And a new change has just been announced: from now on it will be a London-Denpasar-Jakarta-Bali that will operate 3 times a week starting January 22, 2018.

In other words, the passenger will fly directly to Bali from London and have a stopover in Jakarta on the way back. A routing really thought for the tourists which exploits to the maximum the autonomy of the Boeing 777-300ER operated on this line.

On the other hand, the aircraft loses its 1st class to be operated in dual class Business/Economy configuration.

It starts at about 2100 euros in business class, which is very reasonable considering the distance and the service offered.
